Twin Rocks is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Brookings, Oregon, where the bottom falls from roughly 330 to 1,310 feet. Chinook and Coho Salmon run through the water column from May to October, with trolling cut-plug herring, whole herring, spoons, and flashers with hoochies working the dominant line and mooching cut-plug herring or anchovies filling in. Pacific Halibut hold near the deeper structure from April to August, taken by drift fishing herring, squid, salmon bellies, or octopus over the rock. Lingcod come on strong from January to March and respond to jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, with live greenling or live rockfish as a supporting approach. Aggregate Rockfish stack along the drop-off from April to September, holding tight to the structure for jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and plastic grubs or bait fishing squid and herring.
