STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

The Hump at 43.93279, -124.17456 is a rocky pinnacle rising off the outer, exposed coast near Winchester Bay, Oregon, holding structure across a depth range of 60 to 70 feet. Pacific Halibut are the primary draw here, peaking from March through August, while Lingcod concentrate over the rock from January through March. The pinnacle also supports a steady mix of rockfish, including Yelloweye, Canary, Copper, and Widow, alongside Pacific Cod that peak from September through November and Chinook and Coho Salmon that move through in the summer and early fall. Drift fishing with herring, salmon bellies, squid, or octopus works the halibut over the bottom, and jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits targets the lingcod holding tight to the rock. For salmon, trolling cut-plug herring, whole herring, or flashers with hoochies covers the water above the structure.
