STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

The Hump at 44.05663, -124.16044 is a rocky pinnacle set in outer, exposed water off Florence, Oregon, rising through depths of 0 to 45 feet. The structure holds a mix of bottomfish including Yelloweye, Widow, Copper, and Canary Rockfish, along with Lingcod that peak from January through April and Pacific Cod. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs worked close to the rock, while live bait fishing with greenling or whole herring covers the same broken terrain. Pacific Halibut move through from April to September and take drift-fished herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid over the deeper edges of the pinnacle. Chinook Salmon (June through September) and Coho Salmon (June through October) run the surrounding water, where trolling cut-plug herring, spoons, and flashers with hoochies covers the upper column.
