STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

The Hump at 44.19298, -124.20642 is an outer-exposed rocky pinnacle off Florence, Oregon, rising through water from the surface down to about 45 feet. The structure holds a mix of resident rockfish and bottom species, including Yelloweye Rockfish, Bocaccio, Canary Rockfish, and Pacific Cod, alongside seasonal targets that move through in numbers. Lingcod peak from January through April and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, or leadhead jigs, with live greenling and whole herring working as supporting live-bait options over the rock. Pacific Halibut hold from April through September and take drift-fished herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid, while jigging with leadhead or metal jigs covers the same ground. Chinook Salmon run June through September and Coho June through October, both taken by trolling cut-plug herring, spoons, and flashers with hoochies across the pinnacle's edges.
