Distances are in a straight line, not by water.

Cape Lookout Hump is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Garibaldi, Oregon, rising through water that runs 110 to 165 feet deep. The structure holds Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, alongside a strong rockfish presence that includes Black Rockfish peaking April through August, plus Yelloweye and Canary Rockfish. Pacific Halibut work the area from March through August, while Lingcod concentrate over the rock in February and March. Trolling herring, anchovies, spoons, and flashers covers the salmon here, and jigging metal jigs and swimbaits down along the pinnacle takes Lingcod and Black Rockfish where they relate to the hard bottom. For Halibut, drift fishing herring, squid, and octopus across the deeper edges matches the depth and rock structure the spot provides.
