The Hump at 45.67543, -124.07045 is a rocky pinnacle sitting off Garibaldi, Oregon, rising through outer, exposed water in the 10 to 40 foot range. Pacific Halibut are the primary draw here, peaking from March through August, while Lingcod hold tight to the rock structure and peak in February and March. The pinnacle also supports Rockfish, Pacific Cod, Sablefish, and Spiny Dogfish, alongside Coho Salmon from June through October and Chinook Salmon from June through September. Halibut respond to drift fishing with herring, salmon belly, octopus, or squid worked over the bottom, with jigging using leadhead or metal jigs as a secondary approach. Lingcod come to metal jigs, swimbaits, and lead-head jigs with grub tails fished against the rock, and salmon are taken by trolling spoons, flashers, herring, and hoochies through the exposed water above the structure.
