Pyramid Rock is an inner-protected drop-off off Garibaldi, Oregon, where a rocky bottom falls away through depths of 0 to 55 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through September and Coho Salmon from June into October, both taken by trolling herring, spoons, and flashers along the edge or by mooching cut-plug herring. Pacific Halibut move through from March to August, worked with drift fishing over the rock using herring, squid, or octopus. The rocky drop-off also concentrates Lingcod in February and March and Black Rockfish and Cabezon from spring into summer, all of which respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits. Anglers fish the deeper base of the drop-off for bottom species and the shallower shelf for salmon holding over structure.
