STRUCTURE
Flat
Outer Exposed

Rogue River Reef sits off Gold Beach, Oregon, an outer, exposed sand flat running 15 to 35 feet deep. Pacific Halibut peak from March through August, while Lingcod fishing holds up through the winter months of January and February. Chinook Salmon move through from July into September, with Coho Salmon available across a longer window from June through October. Anglers work the flat for halibut with drift fishing using herring, salmon bellies, squid, or leadhead jigs, and target lingcod by jigging metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs over the sand. Salmon come to trolling with cut-plug herring, whole anchovy, trolling spoons, and flashers, or to mooching whole and cut-plug herring across the exposed water.
