Decatur Reef Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising along the outer exposed waters off Edmonds, Washington, in DFO subarea 10, with depths ranging from 15 to 40 feet. The structure holds a range of rockfish—including Darkblotched, Pacific Ocean Perch, Rougheye, and Shortraker—along with Sablefish, Lingcod, and Pacific Halibut. Lingcod fishing peaks from February through April, while Pacific Halibut moves through from March into June. Anglers work the rock with jigging using metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs for Lingcod, and drift jigging with leadhead jigs and plastic swimbaits, metal jigs, or herring for Halibut. The shallow depth and hard bottom over the pinnacle keep fish tight to the structure, so presentations tracked close to the rock produce the most consistent contact.
