Hump 1.1 km SW of Flattery Rocks is a rocky pinnacle rising from the outer exposed waters off La Push, Washington, where depths run 45 to 115 feet over hard structure. Chinook Salmon peak here from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, both taken by trolling flashers, hoochies, trolling spoons, and herring, or by mooching cut-plug herring along the pinnacle edges. Lingcod hold to the rock and peak from February through April, responding to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs. Pacific Halibut move onto the surrounding slopes from April through August, worked by drift fishing whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, and squid across the bottom. Canary Rockfish, Copper Rockfish, and Pacific Cod round out the catch over the same rocky terrain.
