Hump 1.4 km E of Klachopis Point is a rocky pinnacle rising through an outer-exposed stretch of water off Neah Bay, Washington, with depths spanning 5 to 125 feet. The structure holds a strong groundfish population, with Lingcod peaking March through May and Black Rockfish concentrated April through September, both responding to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits worked over the rock. Pacific Halibut move onto the deeper edges from April through July, where drift jigging with leadhead jigs and metal jigs covers the bottom effectively. Chinook Salmon run April through August and Coho May through September, taken by trolling whole herring, spoons, flashers, and hoochies over and around the pinnacle. Pacific Cod, Yellowtail and Canary Rockfish, Sablefish, and Spiny Dogfish round out the mix across the depth range.
