The Hump 4.3 km SW of Fuca Pillar is a rocky pinnacle rising off the outer, exposed coast near Neah Bay, Washington, with depths ranging from the surface down to about 80 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon at their peak from April through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, both taken by trolling flashers, hoochies, trolling spoons, and whole or cut-plug herring across the pinnacle. Pacific Halibut concentrate here from April through July, worked with drift jigging using leadhead jigs, metal jigs, and swimbaits over the rock. Lingcod come on strongest from March through May and respond to jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and lead-head jigs with plastic tight to the structure. Pacific Cod peak in the winter months from January through March, along with Canary Rockfish and Sablefish that share the same rocky ground.
