Crescent Bay, also known as Point Crescent, is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off west of Port Angeles, Washington, where the bottom falls away through depths of 40 to 180 feet. The rock structure holds lingcod, which peak from January through April, alongside a mixed rockfish aggregate that stays productive across the year. Anglers work the drop-off with jigging as the primary approach, using metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs to reach fish holding tight to the rock. Bait fishing supports the effort, with live greenling, herring, or squid for lingcod and herring, squid, or shrimp for rockfish. Mooching with herring or leadhead jigs is a further option for rockfish along the deeper edges of the structure.
