Tongue Point is a rock-bottom drop-off off Port Angeles, Washington, with mid-range exposure and depths falling from 260 to 660 feet. Pacific Halibut is the marquee target here, peaking March through August and taken by drift fishing herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid over the deeper structure, with jigging leadhead or metal jigs a secondary approach. Lingcod holds along the rock through its January-to-April peak and responds to metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, or to bait fishing with live greenling, herring, and squid. Black Rockfish comes on from May through August and takes metal jigs, leadhead jigs with soft plastics, and swimbaits, while Chinook Salmon (June–August) and Coho Salmon (June–September) move through and hold on trolled spoons, flashers, hootchies, and whole herring. The steep contour concentrates fish along the edge, so working baits and jigs down the face of the drop covers the full depth band.
