East McArthur Bank Hump is a rocky pinnacle in DFO subarea 7 off Port Townsend, Washington, rising through outer, exposed water where depths run from 120 to 265 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through July, and Lingcod, best from March through May, alongside a mix of rockfish including Silvergray, Canary, and Darkblotched, plus Pacific Cod and Sablefish. Chinook Salmon move through from June to August. Anglers work the halibut with drift jigging using metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, or herring, and drop bait to the bottom with salmon bellies, octopus, or squid over the rock. Lingcod come to jigs and swimbaits worked along the pinnacle, while Chinook respond to mooching with cut-plug or whole herring across the exposed edges.
