I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Apple Cove Point is a rocky drop-off in Puget Sound's DFO Subarea 9, near Seattle, Washington, where the bottom falls through a mid-exposure zone running roughly 170 to 430 feet. Chinook Salmon peak from July through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, with both taken by trolling cut-plug herring, whole herring, flashers with hoochies, and trolling spoons, or by mooching cut-plug and whole herring along the edge. Pacific Halibut hold on the deeper bottom from March through August and respond to drift jigging with metal jigs and leadhead jigs tipped with plastic or herring. The rock structure supports Lingcod, strongest in January and again February through April, worked with metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, and bucktail jigs, alongside Black Rockfish that stay active January through November on metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastics. The steep contour concentrates fish along the break, making the drop-off itself the primary feature to fish.
