I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Beans Point is a mixed-bottom drop-off in Seattle's Puget Sound waters, part of DFO subarea 10, where the seabed falls through depths of 80 to 200 feet at mid-exposure. Chinook Salmon peak here from July through September and Coho Salmon run from June into October, both reached most reliably by trolling flashers with hoochies, trolling spoons, or cut-plug herring along the drop. Lingcod hold to the structure with a peak in January and again from February through April, worked with metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, or bucktail jigs. Pacific Halibut move through from March to August and respond to drift jigging with metal jigs or leadhead jigs tipped with plastic, while Black Rockfish stay active across most of the year and take metal jigs, swimbaits, and soft plastics fished near the bottom. The changing depth along the edge concentrates fish where the mixed substrate meets deeper water, making the transition zone the focus for most tactics.
