I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Orchard Point is a rock-bottom drop-off in Seattle's Puget Sound waters, sitting in DFO subarea 10 at moderate exposure with depths running 80 to 200 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon through their July to September peak and Coho Salmon across a longer June to October window, both worked most effectively by trolling flashers with hoochies, trolling spoons, or cut-plug herring along the edge. Lingcod concentrate on the rocky bottom from February through April with a January push, and drop-off jigging with metal jigs or leadhead jigs with swimbaits reaches them at depth. Pacific Halibut move through from March to August and respond to drift jigging with metal jigs or herring across the deeper contours. Black Rockfish stack on the rock structure nearly year-round, taking metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastics fished tight to the bottom.
