Duwamish Head Shoreline is a rock outcrop on the West Seattle waterfront within DFO subarea 10, where the shoreline drops toward Elliott Bay's deeper channels. Coho Salmon move through the area from June to October, with Chinook Salmon peaking July through September and Rockfish available across the full year. Anglers targeting the salmon runs work the water with trolling using flashers, hoochies, trolling spoons, and cut-plug herring, while mooching whole herring or jigging metal jigs cover the supporting approaches. Rockfish hold close to the rocky structure and respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, swimbaits, and shrimp flies. Bait fishing with herring, squid, or sand shrimp works the same outcrop for the resident fish.
