Point White is a mid-exposure drop-off in DFO subarea 10 off Seattle, where a mixed bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon peak here from July through September, with Coho Salmon running across a longer window from June into October. Pacific Halibut hold near the bottom from March through August, while Lingcod concentrate in the early season through February to April and Black Rockfish stay active nearly year-round. Anglers target the salmon by trolling flashers with hoochies, trolling spoons, or cut-plug herring along the break, and work the deeper structure for halibut with drift jigging using metal jigs or leadhead jigs tipped with plastic. Over the same rocky edges, jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits produces Lingcod and Black Rockfish.
