I’ve been using ReelCaster for about a month and I love it! Having all the conditions listed together is really handy and makes deciding when to go a no brainer instead of checking multiple apps and sites to get wind, current, sea conditions and tides. I highly recommend ReelCaster!

ReelCaster has completely changed how I plan my fishing trips. It brings together tides, currents, wind, swell, and water temperature in one place, then pinpoints the best times and locations to fish. It saves me time and gives me real confidence I’m on the water when conditions are ideal.

ReelCaster was very helpful in helping me figure out where and when to fish! I was lucky enough to catch a 7 lb Coho right off the beach. The info that the app provided was really helpful and it saved me the trouble of looking at multiple sources to figure out tides, weather, and regulations.

STRUCTURE

Mid

Yeomalt Point is a rocky drop-off in Seattle's DFO subarea 10, where the bottom falls through mid-exposure water from roughly 80 to 200 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from March through August, alongside Lingcod that run strongest in January and again from February into April. Anglers work halibut with drift jigging over the drop, using metal jigs, leadhead jigs with plastic, or herring, and drop whole herring, octopus, or squid on the bottom when the drift slows. Lingcod respond to jigging with metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, and bucktail jigs along the rock, with live greenling or live herring as a supporting approach. Chinook Salmon move through from July into September and Coho from June through October, both taken by trolling cut-plug herring, whole herring, flashers with hoochies, or trolling spoons across the point.
