Doe Islet sits off Campbell River, British Columbia, marking a rock drop-off in mid-exposure water that falls from roughly 330 to 1,310 feet. Chinook Salmon run strongest here from June through August, with Coho Salmon holding from May into September, and both respond to trolling with spoons, hootchies, or cut-plug herring along the edge. Lingcod peak in May and June and again from August through September, taken by working metal jigs and leadhead jigs with swimbaits close to the rock structure. Pacific Halibut spread across April through September on the deeper flats, where drift jigging with leadhead jigs and swimbaits covers ground effectively. Black Rockfish and other rockfish stack over the same broken rock, coming to metal jigs and soft plastic swimbaits along the drop.
