Entrance Rock is an exposed pinnacle rising from rocky bottom off Campbell River, British Columbia, with depths running from 40 to 120 feet along its outer, current-swept structure. The pinnacle draws Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through August and Coho Salmon from May into September, with anglers working trolling spoons, hootchies, and cut-plug herring through the water column above the rock. Lingcod hold tight to the structure and take metal jigs and leadhead jigs with swimbaits during their May–June and August–September windows, while Pacific Halibut move through from April to September and respond to drift jigging with leadheads and swimbaits over the deeper edges. Black Rockfish work the same rocky terrain from May through September and hit metal jigs and soft plastic swimbaits, alongside Canary, Copper, and Quillback Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and other bottom species. The exposed position and hard structure concentrate fish across the full depth range, rewarding tactics matched to the tide and the section of the pinnacle being fished.
