Hoskyn Rock is an exposed offshore pinnacle off Campbell River, British Columbia, where rock structure rises through water running 40 to 120 feet deep. The site holds Pacific Halibut through its April to September peak and Lingcod during the May to June and August to September windows, alongside resident Rougheye Rockfish, Canary Rockfish, Pacific Cod, and Sablefish. Chinook Salmon move over the pinnacle from June to August. Anglers work the rock with drift jigging for halibut, using leadhead jigs, swimbaits, or metal jigs, and switch to whole herring, salmon bellies, octopus, or squid on bait when the drift slows. Lingcod hold tight to the pinnacle and respond to metal jigs, leadhead jigs with swimbaits, and bucktail jigs, while Chinook come to trolled anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies along the same structure.
