Mouse Islets is a rock pinnacle off Campbell River, British Columbia, rising through mid-exposure water with depths running from 10 to 60 feet. The structure holds Chinook Salmon at their peak from June through August and Coho Salmon from May through September, while Lingcod concentrate in May and June and again from August into September. Pacific Halibut work the area from April through September, alongside resident Rockfish, Pacific Cod, Pollock, and Sablefish drawn to the rocky bottom. Anglers troll anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies for the salmon, or switch to mooching cut-plug herring where the current sets up over the pinnacle. Lingcod respond to metal and leadhead jigs worked tight to the rock, and drift jigging with leadheads and swimbaits covers the deeper water for halibut.
