Favada Point is an outer-exposed rock drop-off off Comox, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of 260 to 660 feet. Chinook Salmon peak here from June through August and Coho Salmon run from May into September, with trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies working the upper water and mooching cut-plug herring as a supporting approach. Pacific Halibut hold along the deeper structure from March through July, taken on drift-jigged leadheads and metal jigs or bottom baits like whole herring and octopus. Lingcod stack on the rock and stay active through much of the year, peaking January through March and again May through September, while Black Rockfish gather over the same structure from June to August. Both respond to metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits worked close to the bottom.
