Musgrave Rock is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Cowichan, British Columbia, rising through depths of 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds a strong groundfish population, with Lingcod peaking from June through August and Black Rockfish from May through August, alongside Copper Rockfish available year-round. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod by jigging swimbaits and metal jigs or drifting live greenling and small rockfish, while Black and Copper Rockfish respond to leadhead and metal jigs along the rock. Chinook Salmon move through from June to September and Coho from June to October, both taken by trolling flashers and hootchies or spoons over the deeper water. Pacific Halibut hold on the bottom from March to July, where drift jigging with heavy metal jigs and octopus skirts covers the exposed depths.
