STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Jenkins Island is an outer-exposed rock pinnacle off Qualicum Beach, British Columbia, rising through water that runs 40 to 120 feet deep. The structure holds Pacific Halibut through its peak from March to August, along with Black Rockfish from April to September and Lingcod that fish best from January to March. Chinook Salmon move through from July to September and Coho from June to October, adding a summer troll to the bottom fishery. Anglers drift whole herring, octopus, or large jigs across the pinnacle for halibut, while jigging metal jigs and leadhead jigs works the rocky relief for both lingcod and rockfish. For salmon, trolling herring, spoons, and hootchies covers the exposed water above the structure.
