STRUCTURE
Pinnacle
Outer Exposed

Blink Rock is an outer-exposed pinnacle off Sayward, British Columbia, rising over rock bottom in waters running 260 to 660 feet deep. The structure holds Lingcod, which peak from February through April and again in August and September, alongside Pacific Halibut that concentrate from April through August and Quillback Rockfish that hold on the rock year-round. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June into October, keeping the spot productive across the open-water season. Anglers work the pinnacle for Lingcod with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs, or fish bait such as whole herring, live greenling, and squid closer to the rock. Halibut respond to drift jigging with leadhead and metal jigs over the deeper flanks, while Chinook and Coho are typically taken by trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons through the exposed water above the structure.
