Point George is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Sayward, British Columbia, where the bottom falls away through depths of roughly 260 to 660 feet. The structure holds Pacific Halibut, which peak from April through August, alongside Lingcod that run strongest from February to April and again in late summer. Halibut come on drift jigging with leadhead or metal jigs over the deeper contours, while lingcod respond to jigging with swimbaits and metal jigs tight to the rock. Chinook Salmon move through from May to August and Coho from June to October, both taken by trolling anchovy, herring, spoons, and hootchies along the exposed edge. Quillback and other rockfish hold on the rock year-round and take metal or leadhead jigs worked near the bottom.
