About Wilf Rock

Wilf Rock is an outer-exposed pinnacle off Tofino, British Columbia, where a rocky bottom rises through depths of 10 to 85 feet. Chinook Salmon peak here from May through August and Coho Salmon from June into October, with both taking well to trolling anchovy, herring, hootchies, and spoons across the structure. The rock and its surrounding reef hold Lingcod and Black Rockfish, best worked May through September by jigging metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and soft plastic swimbaits over the hard bottom. Pacific Halibut move through in spring, peaking March through June, and respond to drift jigging with leadhead jigs and soft plastics along the deeper margins. The pinnacle also gives up Canary Rockfish and Pacific Cod, making it a versatile stop across the season.
