Sister Rocks Hump is a rocky pinnacle rising in an outer, exposed stretch of water off Crescent City, California, with depths running roughly 20 to 35 feet over hard structure. The rock draws a strong rockfish and lingcod presence, with Lingcod peaking February through March and again August through October, Black Rockfish holding through March and May into August, and Blue Rockfish concentrated March through April and June through August. Chinook Salmon move through the area from April into September, adding a seasonal pelagic target above the reef. Jigging with metal jigs, swimbaits, and leadhead jigs works the pinnacle for Lingcod and Black Rockfish, while bait fishing with shrimp flies, squid strips, and anchovies takes Blue Rockfish holding tight to the rock. For salmon, trolling anchovies, herring, spoons, and hoochies covers the water above the structure during the spring and summer run.
