About Triangles
Triangles is an exposed sand flat near Islamorada in the Florida Keys State Waters Southwest Region, with clear water running 5 to 10 feet deep. Permit and bonefish both peak here from March through May, and bonefish return for a second run in September and October. Anglers sight cast crab flies, bucktail jigs and live crabs to permit tailing over the open sand. Bonefish respond to live shrimp and soft plastic shrimp presented with spinning tackle. Great barracuda take over from December through February and strike tube lures and topwater plugs, while mutton snapper peak from March through June and are worked with bottom fishing rigs baited with live pilchards or cut ballyhoo, with cobia also part of the mix.
