About Broadway Channel
Broadway Channel is a protected, mud-bottomed corridor near Naples, Florida, running 0 to 10 feet deep through sheltered inshore water. Sheepshead peak from January through March and spotted seatrout from February through April, while common snook peak from April through July and gray snapper from May through July. Red drum peak in September and October, and Spanish mackerel move through from March to April and again from September through November. Bottom fishing with live shrimp, fiddler crabs, or sand fleas works for sheepshead and gray snapper along the channel's soft bottom. Live bait fishing with live pilchards, pinfish, or live shrimp targets snook and red drum in the shallow, sheltered water, and bottom bouncing jigs tipped with shrimp reaches seatrout holding in the deeper sections of the corridor.
