About Capri Pass
Capri Pass is a protected tidal corridor near Naples, Florida, linking the backwater bays to the Gulf over a mixed bottom that runs 5 to 15 feet deep. Common Snook peak from April through July and Tarpon from March through August, while Gray Snapper stack up from May through July. Red Drum take over in September and October, Sheepshead dominate from January through March, and Spanish Mackerel run in March and April and again from September through November. Live bait fishing with live pilchards, live pinfish, or live mullet drifted through the corridor draws strikes from snook and tarpon, and jig heads tipped with shrimp work for Red Drum and Sheepshead along the deeper edges. Bottom fishing with live shrimp or fiddler crabs targets Sheepshead and Gray Snapper over the mixed structure, and casting small spoons and jigs intercepts Spanish Mackerel moving through the pass.
