About Little Marco Pass
Little Marco Pass is a protected sand-bottom corridor south of Naples, Florida, where tidal flow funnels through a channel running 10 to 15 feet deep. Common Snook peak here from April through July, overlapping with Tarpon from March through August and Gray Snapper from May through July. Red Drum move through in September and October, Spanish Mackerel show in March and April and again from September through November, and Sheepshead take over from January through March. Live bait fishing with live pilchards, live pinfish, or live mullet works the moving water for snook and tarpon, while casting small spoons and jigs targets mackerel feeding along the corridor. Bottom fishing with live shrimp or fiddler crabs on the sand floor accounts for sheepshead in winter and gray snapper through early summer.
