About Bill Horn's Reef
Bill Horn's Reef is an artificial reef in the federal Gulf waters off Panama City, Florida, at 29.7752, -85.7029. The site sits in the open Gulf beyond state jurisdiction, part of the network of man-made structure that anglers working out of the Panama City area visit. As an artificial reef, it offers hard relief on an otherwise open bottom, and that structure concentrates baitfish and the predators that follow them. No target species or depth figures are on file for this reef, so anglers rely on their own electronics to read the structure and the water column on arrival. Its published coordinates make it a straightforward waypoint to plot from Panama City and add to an offshore reef rotation.
