About Carl Gray Park
Carl Gray Park is a beach access point in Panama City, Florida, within the Panhandle Region of Florida's Gulf state waters. Sheepshead lead the winter season, peaking January through March, when bottom fishing with fiddler crabs, live shrimp, sand fleas, or oysters produces steady bites, and jig heads tipped with fiddler crabs or shrimp offer a mobile alternative. Spotted seatrout peak from March through May and again in November, and anglers target them by casting soft plastic jerkbaits, paddle tail grubs on jigheads, and topwater walking plugs or by drifting live shrimp under a popping cork. Red drum take over from August through October and respond to gold spoons, jigheads with paddle tails, and topwater plugs worked along the beach, while cut mullet or blue crab halves on the bottom hold fish during slower stretches. Common snook also appear among the species anglers pursue from this stretch of shoreline.
