About Fish Reef
Fish Reef is an artificial reef in the Gulf of Mexico off Panama City, Florida, within the Panhandle Region of Florida's Gulf state waters. The reef sits at 30.2628, -86.0131, along the stretch of coastline between Panama City Beach and the eastern edge of Walton County. As a man-made structure, it adds hard relief to an otherwise open sand bottom, and that relief concentrates baitfish and the predators that follow them. Species records and a confirmed depth for this site are not yet on file, so the page tracks the reef by its position and structure type. The surrounding Panhandle waters follow distinct seasonal patterns, and those patterns shape activity on reef structure through the year.
