About Massalina Bayou
Massalina Bayou is a protected, mud-bottomed bay arm in Panama City, Florida, with water ranging from 5 to 15 feet deep. Red Drum peak from August through October, Sheepshead from January through March, and Gray Snapper from May through August, while Spanish Mackerel hold a long window from March through October and Common Snook round out the inshore lineup. Red Drum respond to inshore casting with soft plastic jerkbaits, jigheads with paddle tails, and gold spoons worked over the soft bottom, and live shrimp and finger mullet serve as dependable alternatives. Sheepshead and Gray Snapper fall to bottom fishing, with fiddler crabs and sand fleas for Sheepshead and live pinfish or cut sardines for snapper. From March through October, Spanish Mackerel take small spoons, metal jigs, and gotcha plugs on the cast.
