About Mexico Beach Reef
Mexico Beach Reef is an artificial reef in the Florida Gulf State Waters of the Panhandle Region, positioned off the coast in the Panama City area at 29.9023, -85.5398. The site sits within state-managed Gulf waters, which places it among the inshore and nearshore structure that anglers along this stretch of the Panhandle work from local ports. As an artificial reef, it provides hard-bottom relief on an otherwise open Gulf seafloor, and that placed material concentrates baitfish and the predators that follow them. The structure itself is the defining feature here, so locating the reef material and holding over it matters more than covering open water. Species records and depth data for Mexico Beach Reef are not yet on file, and this page updates as catch reports and seasonal details come in.
