About St. Andrews State Park Jetties
The St. Andrews State Park Jetties are rock jetties at the Gulf pass near Panama City, Florida, in the Panhandle region of Florida's Gulf state waters. Sheepshead peak from January through March, when anglers work bottom-fishing rigs with fiddler crabs, live shrimp, sand fleas, or oysters tight to the rocks, or use jig heads tipped with fiddler crabs. Spanish mackerel run from March through October and respond to metal jigs, gotcha plugs, and small spoons cast along the jetty edges. Spotted seatrout peak from March through May and again in November, while gray snapper hold on the structure from May through August and take live pinfish, live shrimp, cut sardines, and squid fished on the bottom. Red drum peak from August through October and strike soft plastic jerkbaits, jigheads with paddle tails, and gold spoons, and common snook also work the rocks.
