About Walton Reef
Walton Reef is an artificial reef in the Florida Gulf State Waters of the Panhandle Region, sitting off the coast at 30.2597, -86.0161 in the greater Panama City area. As a man-made structure on the Gulf floor, it adds hard relief to the surrounding open bottom and concentrates marine life around it. The reef's position within state waters puts it inside the nearshore Panhandle fishery. Target species and seasonal peaks for this site are not yet on file, so anglers rely on local reports and their own observations to track what holds on the structure through the year. Depth for Walton Reef is also unrecorded, and visiting anglers mark the coordinates and read the bottom on arrival to locate the structure.
