About FWC-EE-7 Module Reef

FWC-EE-7 Module Reef is an artificial reef of placed modules in federal Gulf waters off Pensacola, Florida. Red Snapper peak here from April through August, while King Mackerel hold over the structure from April into October and Greater Amberjack crowd the modules in April and May. Gray Snapper fill the summer window from May through August, Gag Grouper take over from October through December, and Red Grouper round out the bottom species on the reef. Bottom fishing with live pinfish, cigar minnows, squid, or cut bait works the base of the modules for snapper and Gag Grouper, and vertical jigging with metal jigs reaches the same fish. Above the reef, slow trolling with live cigar minnows or live menhaden targets King Mackerel, and live bait fishing with live hardtails draws Greater Amberjack up from the structure.
