STRUCTURE
Flat
Inner Protected

Jarvis Upper Range A Front Light marks an inner, protected flat off Charleston, Oregon, where a rocky bottom rises through water from 0 to 25 feet. The shallow rock structure holds Black Rockfish, which peak from June through September, alongside Blue Rockfish at their best from April through August. Lingcod concentrate here in the colder months, peaking from January through March and again in December, while Cabezon reach their peak from November through January. Jigging metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits works the rock for rockfish, lingcod, and cabezon, and anglers supplement with bait fishing herring, squid, or cut bait over the same structure. Chinook and Coho Salmon move through in summer, peaking from June through September, and respond to trolling cut-plug herring, spoons, and hoochies in the protected water.
