Jarvis Upper Range B Front Light marks a rocky pinnacle off Charleston, Oregon, sitting in outer, exposed water where depths run from 10 to 25 feet. The structure holds lingcod, which peak from January through March and again in December, alongside a strong rockfish presence including black rockfish and blue rockfish through the summer months and cabezon peaking from November into January. Anglers work the rock with jigging using metal jigs, leadhead jigs, and swimbaits, the dominant approach across lingcod, rockfish, and cabezon, while live greenling or whole herring drawn across the pinnacle produces larger lingcod. Summer opens the offshore fishery, with coho and Chinook salmon peaking June through September on trolled spoons, hoochies, and cut-plug herring, and Pacific halibut available May through September on drifted herring, squid, and octopus. The exposed position over hard rock keeps the bottom structure sharp and the target species concentrated on the high points of the pinnacle.
