Sisters Rocks is an outer-exposed rocky drop-off off Gold Beach, Oregon, where the bottom falls from 330 to 1,310 feet along hard structure that concentrates both bottomfish and passing salmon. Chinook Salmon peak from July through September and Coho Salmon from June through October, both worked by trolling cut-plug herring, spoons, and flashers or by mooching whole herring over the ledges. The rocky terrain holds Lingcod, best in January and February on metal jigs and swimbaits, alongside Black Rockfish through the summer and Blue Rockfish in spring and again from June into August. Pacific Halibut move over the deeper flats from March through August, taken by drift fishing herring, salmon bellies, and squid, while Cabezon hold tight to the rock and respond to leadhead jigs and cut squid. The exposed depth range rewards anglers who match their presentation to the structure, jigging the shallower rock for rockfish and drifting the deeper edges for flatfish.
